Josie has been working in the accounting field for over 20 years, obtained her Bachelor of Business with a major in accounting, is a Certified Practising Accountant and Xero Certified Advisor. As well as running her own accounting business she also works at local accounting firm Direct Accountants & Tax Agents in Mudgeeraba.

Her passion however, lies with music and led to using her skills to take up the position of Treasurer and eventually President on the board of The Gold Coast Music Industry Association. The GCMIA was a not for profit organisation whose main aim was to support and promote the local music industry. During this time she organised many events such as networking, showcases, open mic nights and booked many musicians.

She has worked in the music industry ever since, as a booking agent, selling merchandise at local gigs and is also the Music Co-ordinator at Expressive Ground another not for profit association dedicated to developing arts and cultural activities focusing on youth. There she has helped organise battle of the bands contests which are aimed at high school students.

Josie is combining her passion with her expertise to specialise in her field as an entertainment accountant. She believes with all her experience in these industries she will be able to better understand her client’s needs and requirements, providing them with many business advisory services to help plan and manage their business while maximising their returns.
